LOVEFEST is an annual youth + adult event known as the place to join with experts in a fun, cool, comfortable setting in order to talk tough about pressing issues facing us all every day. Hosted by Our Savior Lutheran Church in Arcadia, CA, LOVEFEST covers abstinence, purity, STD's, casual sex, drugs, pornography and other difficult areas that we face in today's society and the consequences that may arise. Also discussed are topics of need such as depression, cutting, etc. Factual and Truthful information is given and done from a Christian perspective. Please note that we have Christians of all denominations plus many guests that have never even attended church in the past. This informative and incredibly fun event truly has something for everyone.
The registration fee includes the respected speakers, breakout sessions, parking (while available onsite), lunch, dinner, a commemorative silicon wristband, and a workbook.
This event has a reach of attendees throughout North America. Limited to an attendance of 1000 people, the audience has comprised of attendees mostly from the Western United States (California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington). However, attendees have come from Texas, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Canada.
The limit in attendance to 1000 people is a two-fold response: (1) the event location, on our church grounds, can comfortabley handle this number of attendees. We feel that it is important that the event always be held at a our church, particularly since LoveFest is presented from a Christian perspective. (2) With 1000 attendees, we can manage the size of the smaller ‘breakout sessions’ that take place during the day. Attendees within these classroom settings have a manageable number of students-to-teacher ratios. This allows for a comfortable setting that helps initiate questions and conversation during these breakout sessions.
Audience is split 50/50 in several ways….audience is split in half between male and female. Also, the age is split between tweens/teens and adults. Ages range from 10 years old up into the high 90’s (I think our oldest attendee is 94 years old!). Classes are set to cover all attendees – the breakout sessions comprise topics focused at tweens, teens, college students, young adults, parents, grandparents, teachers, pastors, youth pastors, etc.
